Greenstalk Planter

In addition to our raised and in-ground gardening beds, we use two vertical gardens called Greenstalks.  They are 5-tier system with 6 planting pockets on each tier.

Currently there are about 8 varieties of lettuce, komatsuna, and bok choy in addition to cilantro, bronze fennel, fenugreek growing in the greenstalk. We have had several salads already with more to come.

We have found the partial shade from our porch helps up to hold on to our less heat tolerant crops. I love the watering system and find it easy to add worm tea or kelp/fish fertilizer this way. The height and it being off ground helps tremendously with pests.
